West Essex 2 Hadley 6 (Solomon Ofori netted a hat-trick as Hadley came from behind just before the break to net six against West Essex at Mayesbrook Park. Ofori gave Hadley a 17th minute lead thanks to a good finish, but West were level ten minutes before the break as Callum Bliss set up Cameron Gray to find the net. And then six minutes before the break a Hakim Medfai corner was headed home by Izzy Ogedi-Uzokwe to put the hosts ahead. But in first half stoppage time Hadley levelled as Ofori grabbed his second of the game to see the sides go into the break all square, and four minutes after the break Ofori completed his hat-trick to give Hadley the lead for the second time in the contest. And in the 54th minute Hadley won a penalty after Cameron Ferguson had been brought down, and Alfie Bartram netted from the spot to increase the visitors lead. Just beyond the hour mark Hadley made it five when Manny Hammond added himself to the goal scorers list for the night, and then Ferguson turned scorer with just over twenty minutes remaining to net a sixth for the visitors and complete a good night for the visiting side)

Essex Senior League

Clapton 4 Woodford Town 0 (The Tons are into tenth after they thumped Woodford Town at Southchurch Park. All the goals came in the opening forty-five minutes and the hosts opened the scoring through Warren Kayembe after just five minutes before he doubled their lead just four minutes later, and Connor Peters then made it three after just 25 minutes. Daniel Emovon netted the fourth and final goal five minutes before the break and defeat for Woodford sees them down in 13th)

Hashtag United 2 Ilford 1 (Hashtag needed a late penalty from George Smith to win this one at Chadfield’s against Ilford and go back into second spot and a point behind leaders Walden. Thomas Anderson gave the hosts a 13th minute lead but this was wiped out by half time after Sadiq Akanbi levelled for the visitors. It remained 1-1 until nine minutes from time when Smith netted from the spot, and the game ended with Jordon Fisher been given his marching orders after he had been adjudged to have used his arm to net what the visitors thought was a late leveller and was given a second yellow for the offence. Disappointment for Ilford then who drop to 11th)

Benfleet 3 Newbury Forest 0 (Benfleet bounced back from their 9-1 defeat at Little Oakley by defeating Newbury Forest at Park Lane. Ben Foord gave them the lead midway through the first period before James Brown netted either side of the break to help take the hosts to a comfortable victory here and see them up to 12th. Forest remain second bottom)

Essex Thameside Trophy First Round
White Ensign 1 Basildon United 3 (Ensign are out of the Thameside Trophy after they fell to a home loss against Isthmian North Basildon United. Ayo Odukoya netted a penalty for the hosts but a brace from Joe Staunton and one from Adam Vyse saw the visitors into the next round)
